Two projects commissioned by the Alexandria Office of the Arts of the Arts were recognized by the Americans for the Arts, Year in Review, this week. Both projects were part of the Time and Place initiative, which grew of the the Public Art Implemention Plan that Bressi and Via Partnership completed in 2014, and were further developed by Via Partnership with assistance from Bressi at various stages.

Artists Sheldon ScottStewart Watson and Lauren Frances Adams—used research-based practices and work in a variety of media to create thought-provoking temporary works that were inspired by the storied past of Gadsby’s Tavern. Scott created both an immersive performance artwork, “The Finest Amenities,” and supporting exhibition of photographs and materials from the performance. Watson and  Adams created a series of site specific intermedia installations titled “Centennial of the Everyday.”
