The Tempe, Arizona, public art program sought a public art master plan to help the City and various program stakeholders arrive at a shared vision for how the program would focus its efforts in the future and to document its processes more thoroughly. Bressi, as special advisor to consultant Designing Local, focused on several aspects of the project: articulating a stronger curatorial direction for the program, exploring how the program can collaborate with City departments to achieve projects of high ambition, and updating the program’s processes for working with developers to deliver public art projects under the City’s Art in Public Places requirements.
